Orthodontic Braces

Transform your smile with advanced and invisible braces for teeth

Orthodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry dedicated to diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental and facial irregularities. At our medical center, we provide comprehensive solutions for braces for teeth, focusing on both functional alignment and aesthetic perfection. Guided by an experienced orthodontist, our treatments go beyond simply straightening a smile; we aim to improve oral health, bite functionality, and the long-term integrity of the jaw structure.

Benefits of Orthodontic Intervention

  • Early Intervention (Children): Screening children by age 7 to identify potential jaw growth issues or permanent teeth overcrowding.

  • Teens and Adolescents: The traditional period for orthodontic treatment, taking advantage of the natural growth spurts of the jaw.

  • Adult Patients: An increasing number of adults are choosing invisible braces or ceramic options to correct long-standing alignment issues.

  • Patients with Malocclusion: Individuals experiencing “crowding” or “spacing” issues that interfere with normal chewing.

  • Post-Trauma Recovery: Patients who have experienced dental trauma and require repositioning of the teeth to their original state.

Who Is It For?

Orthodontic care is not limited by age. Our orthodontist creates specialized treatment plans for various patient profiles:

Are you a Candidate?

Determining if you are a candidate for braces for teeth involves a detailed clinical evaluation. During your first visit, we assess:

  • Periodontal Health: Gums and bone must be healthy and free of disease to support tooth movement.
  • Dental Maturity: We check if all necessary permanent teeth have erupted or if space management is required.
  • Skeletal Alignment: We evaluate how the upper and lower jaws meet to determine if the issue is purely dental or skeletal.

Results & Recovery

The duration of orthodontic treatment varies, typically ranging from 12 to 24 months, depending on the complexity of the case.

  • Adjustment Period: For all oral braces, patients may experience mild soreness for 3-5 days following a fitting or an adjustment. This is easily managed with over-the-counter pain relief and a soft food diet.

  • The Retention Phase: Once the braces are removed, the “recovery” phase involves wearing a retainer. This is critical to prevent the teeth from shifting back to their original positions.

  • Long-Term Outcome: Upon completion, patients can expect a perfectly aligned bite and a symmetrical smile. Regular follow-ups ensure that the results remain stable for a lifetime.
