Metal braces

are the most common orthodontic treatment for crowded, crooked, and misaligned teeth. Whether you have an abnormal bite due to jaw problems, an injury, or early/late tooth loss, these conditions can be corrected by your conventional “train tracks”.

Correcting a bad bite is more than just recreating your smile; it is promoting better oral health. Crowded teeth and other abnormal teeth and jaw alignment conditions can cause Sultan Al Olama Medical  Centers , you only get professional orthodontic services for metal braces in Dubai with outstanding quality. Our team of specialist orthodontists will make sure that you get proper care and attention, getting your desired smile at the best time achievable.

How do metal braces work?

Traditional braces are designed to put pressure on the teeth and move them into their proper position. Small brackets are cemented to your teeth linked by an archwire. This wire is tightened by your best orthodontist periodically to facilitate the alignment of your teeth and jaw, achieving the smile you’ve always wanted.

Ceramic braces

are quite popular with teens and older patients because they offer a more aesthetic option for straightening teeth. With clear ceramic braces, people may not even realize you’re doing orthodontic treatment.

Clear ceramic braces usually have smaller brackets compared to traditional metal braces. These tooth-colored brackets are bonded to the front of the teeth and the archwires are threaded into the slots in the brackets. These archwires are colored to match your teeth which further reduces the visibility of your braces.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign®, the revolutionary system from Align Technology USA, is transforming the way we practice Orthodontics. This straightens your teeth, without wires and brackets, using a series of clear, customized and removable appliances called aligners. It is virtually undetectable, which means hardly anyone will know that you’re straightening your teeth.

  • No Metal Wires – you can straighten your teeth without everyone knowing

  • Clear Aligners – Nearly invisible

  • Removable – You can brush and floss normally

  • Comfortable – Aligners are tailor-made to your teeth, so there is little pain and irritation

Teeth whitening

is a minimally invasive multi-step cosmetic procedure typically requiring less than an hour of chair time. Whereas actual procedure time will vary depending on whether you are getting.  Zoom whitening or another professionally dispensed option, it will not vary significantly.

Before the teeth can be whitened with Zoom, an oral health evaluation must be conducted (this is typically done on a prior visit). If a patient suffers from issues such as gum disease, tooth decay or another oral health condition, it must first be treated before Zoom whitening can begin. Whitening is not recommended for patients suffering poor oral health. That is until oral health can be corrected, at which point all whitening modalities may be considered.

The Zoom Laser Teeth Whitening   procedure begins with a superficial cleaning of the teeth to prepare. This may be performed by patient, dentist or both. Preparation continues with the application of a cover designed to shield the lips and gums from the effects of the bleaching agent, after which the Zoom hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to the surface of the teeth. Once applied, the Zoom Advanced Power Chairside Lamp is used to help activate the peroxide. After 15 minutes, the gel is removed and then re-applied, starting the process anew. After 15 more minutes, the gel is again removed and re-applied one final time. Once the 45 minute gel application / light activation process is completed, a sensitivity-reducing paste is applied to the teeth to counter any adverse reactions to the bleach.

Results from Zoom teeth whitening will be seen almost immediately, and a home touch up kit (including custom-fitted whitening trays) is provided to help maintain them for as long as possible. Patients also will be advised to avoid certain drinks and foods to avoid discoloration. This list may include things like coffee, red wine, soda, etc. In addition, use of tobacco products is contraindicated following teeth whitening.

How long will my teeth stay whiter?

The effects of whitening are thought to last up to three years. However, this will vary from person to person. The effect is less likely to last as long if you smoke, or eat or drink products that can stain your teeth. Ask your dentist for their opinion before you start the treatment.

here are many causes to tooth discolouration. Some of the most common include the consumption of highly coloured foods and drinks (berries, coffee, tea, red wine). Some medications, aging, smoking and trauma can also cause teeth discolouration
